Remember this song? I heard it at the dentist’s yesterday, on a station with the motto, “Songs that you know, with lyrics that won’t embarrass you in front of your kids or your customers.” That gets to the core of what I look for in music.

I don’t get what some of the people in this song were thinking when they tried to impress Shania Twain. “Hey Shania Twain. Guess what I have parked out front? A CAR. That’s right, an automobile. Not any specific brand of fancy car, which you would expect me to name as part of my pickup line. Especially since I’m trying to pick up a celebrity who probably has an extra mansion for all her Jaguars Convertibles and normally rides a gold-plated helicopter. Just a car, you know, in general. I assume I’ve impressed you.”
Maybe this song is supposed to be set in 1896.
